A girl says love first is still debatable. Although some people doubt about it but some girl do it. Some people doubt about it because culture factor and some belief that girl must wait for boys to say love, not saying love first. Some other says if girl says love first it will make girl's pride down, but some girl still do it, their reason ussually because they don't like waiting too long.
From interview to some students in twelve social one St. Albertus Senior High School known there are five students doubt about it. Their reasons are various, such as: it can make girl's prestige down, let girl wait and let guy say their feeling first, girl must want to make sure from a boy, girls have imbalance emotion and because man have to approach the girl. From information at B'Girl Magazine February 2009 edition also known why girl says love first is still a big no-no in Indonesia. First, because in Indonesia girl who says love first is considered as aggressive girl. Second, because boy's prestige is very high. Boys are more proud if they can fight for their love by themselves, if girl says love first it make their prestige down. Third, there is a consideration in Indonesia that boy must says love first and girl just need to answer. So, it seems that the girl have to answer, not give initiative to make relationship.
Whereas, some other agree if a girl says love first. Why? The reasons are also various. From 5 students in twelve social one St. Albertus SHS who agree of a girl says love have many reasons. First, because now not only men who have to fight his love but woman also can fight her love. Second, because woman must be brave and honest too. Third, because boys are difficult to express their feeling. The other belief that girl and boy has some right and who says love first is doesn't matter.
From that source we can conclude that some people disagree because of culture factor, social factor, emotion factor and self-prestige. Some other agree because boys are difficult to express their feeling, and the other belief that girl and boy have same right and now already known woman's emancipation. So, because of this situation its okay to keep girl prestige or be honest to says love. It is your choice. But if you want to says love but you want to save your prestige as a girl, my recommendation you can give him a simple signal. What the examples of that simple signal? First, try to ask him how if someone like him and look his reaction. Then, in other right time try to ask him how if someone like you and look his reaction, then analyze it. You also can use an old manner like stalking to him. About his hobby, what does he like, his habit, etc and arrange a strategy to make him closer. For example: if he like spent time at gym you can go to the gym too, say hi to him and pretend that you not expected to see him, then in other time you can make a topic about that until he think you have same hobby with him, so you will have another chance.
